I am Sayoni Maiti, a PhD student at the Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru, India. Having developed a keen interest in mathematics since my school days, yet wanting to take up challenging problems in biology, I have embarked on a voyage to decipher the mysterious interface between type 2 diabetes and cancer biology by implementing a combination of experimental and mathematical approaches.
